We are proud to announce the news that we continue to be an IS0 27001 certified company for a further 12 months.
Recently, we had our annual surveillance visit from an external UKAS certification body, which involved a two day audit at Auros HQ, checking that our working practices are in line with our ISMS (Information Security Management System).
After a rigorous two days of checks and inspections, we were greeted with the news that we would continue to be certified.
This is our second year of being an ISO 27001 certified company, however the roots of our ISMS stem back to early 2009 when we began the process of formalising our working practices in relation to information security. In a nutshell, the point of our ISMS is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our physical and information assets. We continually look to improve the way we work and the service we provide and continued ISO accreditation is a great endorsement of our efforts.

Last night, as we headed back down the M4 with our buckets and spades (thanks Sage) and other post-show paraphernalia, we reflected on a week at Internet World. It was great to spend some time with our friends from EPiServer UK and also to meet-up with the wider EPiServer team from Sweden, the US and as far afield as Australia.
So, an enjoyable social experience, but what about the show itself? Well, despite many visitors referring to it as feeling like a “much smaller show”, we think it turned out to be a small, but well-formed gathering. As always the theatre presentations were a big draw, but perhaps a better barometer of the market was a marked increase (compared to 2011) in the number of ‘real’ conversations about ‘real’ projects. Over the three days we also spotted a clear trend. Many of these conversations were about genuine multi-channel projects encompassing web, mobile and social. So what? I hear you ask, people have been speculating about the importance of cross-channel in blogs and social channels for some time. But, that is exactly the point. The theme for us was the fact that there was a noticeable shift in these conversations from speculation and research /information gathering to a strong appetite (and budget commitment) to initiate projects that will deliver on a joined-up web, mobile and social strategy. While we (Auros) have seen (and delivered) a few of these projects already, the big news was that this has become a consistent theme reinforced by well thought through strategies within both b2c and b2b organisations.
Exciting times ahead!

Having recently returned from another hectic 3 days at Internet World, I have had a few days to reflect on the sort of enquiries we were getting. There had been something of a trend over the past year to dismiss Web Content Management as yesterday’s news, and hail Social Media as the new king. However, whilst we are (obviously) as excited as anyone about the benefits of harnessing Social Media, it seems from speaking to people at Internet World that a CMS-driven site is going to be a commercial necessity for some time to come. Yes we want branded Facebook pages, yes we need to encourage direct communication between business and customer through social networks, but put bluntly, people still value having their own unique bit of cyberspace as much as they ever did.

Thomas Cook, easyJet and Debenhams top responsiveness table in benchmark report, but the average score is a pitiful 10%.
- Only 25% of retailers with a presence on Twitter replied to a question directed at them
- Only 11% responded to a negative comment on their Facebook wall
- Those surveyed took an hour and a half on average to reply on Twitter compared to 10 hours via email
