Our Approach
A Summary of the Auros Project Methodology
Modus, Auros’ own project methodology, is the project
management methodology that Auros applies to all client
engagements. This methodology provides a framework for consultancy
and software development projects, which can then be tailored to
provide a delivery approach that addresses the specific
requirements of each client engagement.
Project Management
Auros uses industry standard methodologies to provide services
and to define and implement effective solutions. Auros uses the
best project management practices and a team who have gained
extensive experience of working in a structured environment both on
client projects and through externally accredited project
management and quality management training programs. All Auros
Project Managers are fully accredited
PRINCE
2 Practitioners
and the team includes two fully accredited ISO9001 TickIT
Auditors.
Modus is based on four key principles, illustrated
below. These principles are applied to each client project.

Risk Management
Risk Management forms part of the Modus methodology.
The Risk Management process is an iterative cycle, which consists
of four key elements:
- Management
- Assigning Risk Ownership
- Responsibility
- Reporting
Quality Management
Quality Management forms an integral part of Auros project
delivery and the Auros Quality Management System was accredited against the ISO9001 standard by a
UKAS
approved certification body in September 2007.
Auros initiatives to ensure effective quality management
include:
- Clearly defining project deliverables with agreed acceptance
criteria;
- Maintaining a detailed task plan;
- Ensuring that everyone is clear about the scope and objectives
of the project and their roles within it;
- Introducing systems for handling issue management and change
controls that include regular reviews and actions;
- Using clearly defined documentation standards for all documents
created on the project;
- Forming a project review team to review progress, resolve
high-level business issues and sign-off the planned stages.
Configuration Management
A key component of the Auros Quality Management System is
Configuration Management. This is critical to the success of client
projects in terms of the control of both project documentation and
project deliverables.
Acceptance
Auros recognises that an effective acceptance mechanism is
critical to ensure that each stage of the project is approved prior
to the start of the next stage. During contract negotiations, Auros
agrees specific acceptance criteria with the client for each stage
and for final acceptance of the project.
