Kent Community Benefits Through Collaboration With Auros
Case Study Company
Ashford Borough Council
Company Background
Ashford Borough Council is a local authority which provides
services to residents in Ashford, Tenterden and a large network of
surrounding villages.
Business Need
Auros inherited the Ashford project from another Immediacy
partner, which decided to withdraw from the market. This
transfer presented a number of challenges for both the client and
Auros. Ashford’s primary requirement was to complete the site
design, build and development, while at the same time ensuring that
appropriate long-term support arrangements were put in place.
What Auros Did
A major re-vamp of the public facing website for Ashford Borough
Council has seen not just the implementation of the Immediacy CMS,
but also extensive use of metadata and categorisation to deliver a
rich online experience to the Ashford community. The success
of this project has led Ashford to rapidly expand Auros’ brief, to
encompass the deployment of several micro-sites for specific local
community audiences. These sites have recently gone live - see them
at www.ashford.gov.uk and
www.ashfordbestplaced.co.uk.
