Project goals

  • Implement a responsive design to serve mobile and tablet website visitors.

  • Migrate to a new technology platform enabling the short and long term website goals to be feasible.

  • Migrate to a new technology platform that has a supported roadmap and a well-established open community of users.

  • Improve multilingual availability of content through natural search.

How we did it

Auros already have a great relationship with BCA as we built and support their existing 23 European websites in Immediacy CMS. Through this long and cohesive relationship, our understanding of their existing web and visitor requirements was a great starting point for us to begin this project.

Working with the BCA development team, it was our responsibility to start and lead the development of the project. We used our EPiServer expertise to build and lay the foundations for a global set of websites that can be further supported and extended by BCA.

.. We have worked with Auros, our partner of choice, every step of the way. They have been flexible in the implementation of the project which enabled us to use our in house design and user interface team. 

Auros proved themselves as a professional and experienced team, meeting our requirements and delivering the project on time. We have forged a great working relationship with Auros and are looking forward to the following phases of the project.

EPiServer features and highlights that made this project a success.

  • EPiServer Composer - Previously, the old Immediacy CMS system contained over 100 templates which were difficult to use and expensive to maintain. EPiServer Composer eliminates layout constraints in templates and enables content editors to choose the layout and components (or plugins) to be shown on a page.

  • Content Migration - We successfully completed a programmatic content migration of over 5000 pages into EPiServer. We were able to complete this by using a migration tool we have created specifically for CMC to EPiServer content migrations.

  • Cohesive technical relationship -Through close communications and iterative software releases to BCA, we ensured from an early stage of the project that the system was fit for the purposes of enabling BCA to extend the system and enabled parallel working to meet project deadlines.
