Plug-ins
Course: This course is for all users who, in any
way, contribute content to the website. The aim of this
course is to aid users in the effective and confident use of
several of the plug-ins which are included in Immediacy
6.X.

Who Should Attend
This course is suited to all individuals whose
responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and approving the work of other web editors
- Determining and designing the layout of content within editable
areas
- Using Editor based plug-ins to add dynamism to web page
content
The course is designed to
enable attendees to fully exploit the functionality of the
Immediacy CMS plug-ins to build exciting pages that are
both usable and accessible
Course Prerequisites
This course assumes that
attendees are able to create and edit pages within the
Immediacy Editor Application. This course also
assumes that attendees understand the page approval process.
Aims and Objectives
At the end of this course, attendees should be
able to:
- Create a hierarchical structure for an A-to-Z
Menu
- Add an A-to-Z Menu onto a web page in the Editor
Application
- Change the properties of a page to add it to a category for use
in the Bullet Menu (and other plug-ins)
- Add a Bullet Menu Plug-in to a web page in the
Editor Application
- Configure a Bullet Menu Plug-in in the Editor
Application
- Add the Access Keys Plug-in to a web page in the
Editor Application
- Configure the Access Keys list page in the Editor
Application
- Create a hierarchical structure for the Alternating Content
Plug-in
- Add the Alternating Content Plug-in to a web page in
the Editor Application
- Configure the Alternating Content Plug-in in the
Editor Application
- Add the What’s New Plug-in to a web page in the
Editor Application
- Configure the What’s New Plug-in in the Editor
Application
- Add the Cross-site Shared Content Plug-in to a web
page in the Editor Application
- Create a Parent Blog page in the Editor
Application
- Create a Blog Home page in the Editor
Application
The course is heavily
workshop based with delegates learning by completing a series of
activities designed to emulate tasks typical of a content
contributor’s role.
